Anti-slavery and human trafficking
Our approach
Clarion Housing Group is committed to ensuring there’s no modern slavery or human trafficking in our business or supply chains. This is part of our wider approach of acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.
We’ve an extensive and robust framework of policies, procedures and contractual requirements in place to prevent slavery or human trafficking within our organisation and our supply chains.
We require new suppliers to declare they’re not involved in modern slavery or human trafficking. They also have to declare they haven’t been subject to any investigation in connection with any offence involving slavery or human trafficking. This is a condition of them working for us.
Our procurement staff are all given ethical procurement and supply training. This incorporates modern slavery issues.
We keep our policies under review. And we share information with other housing associations about best practices in tackling modern slavery.
