Latimer and Fairview New Homes agree joint venture for west London development

The new development marks the final phase of the Sherwood Close regeneration project, a transformative initiative spanning over 10 years.

Latimer, the development arm of Clarion Housing Group, the UK’s largest housing association, has partnered with Fairview New Homes in a joint venture to deliver a new residential development in Ealing, West London.

This development marks the final phase of the Sherwood Close regeneration project, a transformative initiative spanning over 10 years, which has been carried out in partnership with the London Borough of Ealing and has delivered over 117 social rent and 60 shared ownership homes to date. The project redeveloped a 1970s council estate with high-quality, modern, and sustainable housing, reflecting Clarion’s commitment to creating thriving mixed tenure communities. The final phase will construct 188 new homes including an additional 37 social rent homes, taking the over project to over 58% affordable housing.

This new scheme will include a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments within buildings ranging from six to 14 storeys, complemented by well-designed public spaces. All homes will utilise air-source heating technology in line with Clarion’s net-zero carbon strategy.

This will be the second joint venture between Clarion and Fairview, following the Printmakers Yard project in Brentford, which will provide 333 mixed-tenure riverside homes.

Richard Cook, Chief Development Officer at Clarion Housing Group, said:

“This partnership with Fairview New Homes represents a major milestone in our long-standing regeneration efforts at Sherwood Close. Together, we are delivering high-quality, sustainable homes that will make a real difference to the lives of residents and the wider community.”

Rhys Davies, Main Board Land Director at Fairview, said:

“We are delighted to have agreed our second joint venture with Latimer to complete the final phase of this important regeneration project. Fairview will use our expertise of delivering similar residential projects across Greater London, to ensure the project successfully achieves the objectives of the joint venture, the Local Authority and residents.”
