Clarion Futures supports Coronation celebrations across the country
Over the weekend, Clarion residents across the country came together to celebrate the Coronation of Their Majesties The King and Queen Camilla, with many events supported by funding provided by Clarion Futures, the charitable foundation of Clarion Housing Group
Residents of Clarion’s LiveSmart scheme for older people in Borehamwood invited Clarion’s Chief Executive, Clare Miller, to attend a Coronation party they were hosting, commemorating the occasion over a traditional afternoon tea alongside Mayor of Hertsmere, Cllr John Graham.
Other events supported by Clarion Futures include parties at the Orchard Garden Community Hub in Lewisham and LiveSmart schemes from Merton and Norwich to Birmingham and beyond, providing opportunities for Clarion residents to come together as a community and celebrate with each other.
In addition, through Clarion’s social value programme, staff from Pinnacle volunteered at a number of LiveSmart schemes nationwide, improving communal gardens and getting them ready for coronation celebrations.
Joan, one of the LiveSmart residents who attended the party in Borehamwood and remembers celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s coronation, said:
“I really enjoyed this weekend’s events and the best part was the party we had at my LiveSmart scheme. I had been in hospital for several weeks so it was great to see my friends again and be able to enjoy the occasion together.”
Clare Miller, Chief Executive of Clarion Housing Group, said:
“It was lovely to be able to celebrate this historic occasion with some of our residents, and I’d like to thank them for their kind invitation which was one of the highlights of my Coronation weekend.
“Communities really came together in celebration, and we were delighted to help make some of these gatherings possible through funding provided by Clarion Futures, which makes such a difference to our residents nationwide.”
