Clarion Housing Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Reynolds to the new post of Chief Operating Officer. Michelle is currently the Group Director for Commercial Services and has served on the Group Executive team since Clarion was formed in 2016.
As Chief Operating Officer, Michelle will lead on the transformation of the group’s customer service offer to our 360,000 residents. Central to this plan is a commitment to provide high quality services across the country, with local delivery and accountability.
Michelle will also have responsibility for overseeing the long-term investment plan for new homes and neighbourhoods, creating mixed communities that are desirable and fit for the future. The remit will also include responsibility for Clarion’s regeneration plans, which include the £1billion programme in Merton, which will deliver 2,800 new homes across three neighbourhoods.
Michelle has worked for Clarion and its’ predecessor organisations since 1989, when she joined the William Sutton Housing Trust. In that time she has served in a wide range of roles, including Director of Housing at Affinity Sutton. In her capacity as Group Director for Commercial services Michelle launched Clarion Response, the in-house repairs and maintenance arm of the group and Clarion Futures, our Charitable Foundation.
The appointment of a new Chief Operating Officer coincides with the retirement of Neil McCall. Neil will leave his position as Chief Executive of Clarion Housing Association in April 2019, at which point Michelle Reynolds will start in her new role.
Clare Miller, Group Chief Executive commented:
“I first want to pay tribute to Neil McCall, who has played an integral role in the development of Clarion and has been a first class leader of the largest housing association in the country.” “I am thrilled to announce the appointment of Michelle Reynolds as our new Chief Operating Officer. Michelle brings a vast array of experience to the role, complemented by a passion for delivering high quality customer services. I know she will bring dynamism and new thinking to this important position.”
Michelle Reynolds commented:
“I am so pleased to be entrusted with such a strategically important role within the Clarion Housing Group. As the largest social landlord in the country, it is vital that our customer service offer is second to none. I want Clarion to be known for the quality of our offer to residents and for creating desirable communities across the country.”
