Clarion Housing Group investment in new homes increases to £510 million

Clarion Housing Group has today issued a quarterly performance update to investors, covering the period to 31 March 2019.

The unaudited management accounts (published ahead of the full annual accounts in July) demonstrate that the group has significantly increased capital investment in new homes. The number of new homes started in this period increased to a total of 2,663 homes - 85% of which are affordable tenures.

Mark Hattersley, Chief Financial Officer at Clarion Housing Group, said:

“The Group has delivered good operational and financial performance over the last year. We have a strong foundation on which to build, as we look to increase the number of homes we deliver and continue to invest in our residents and their communities.”
