Clarion Housing Group has bought a site in Hailsham, East Sussex, with plans to develop more than 100 high-quality homes.
The leading housing provider this summer acquired the 5.5 hectare site – which comes with planning permission - on land south of the A271 at Amberstone. The development will have 82 properties available for private sale and 28 for shared ownership, including a mix of family homes and apartments.
Clarion has appointed Folkestone-based Jenner (contractors) Ltd to build the homes and work on site is due to start early next year.
Philip Browne, New Business and Partnerships Director for Clarion Housing Group said: "We are looking forward to delivering desirable and much-needed new homes in Hailsham. This scheme will provide buyers, from a whole range of backgrounds, the opportunity to own a home which meets their needs."
The private sales homes will be marketed through Latimer, Clarion’s sales brand.
